Out of Bounds in Singapore

Hai semua, seminggu jugak lah nak update ni, bukan apa nak sort out gambar yang lama tu..He..he..alasan je tu. Anyway, let's move on... This time around, we headed to Geylang Serai for accomodation. Perfect location for makan2 and senang to take public transport. Our target besides cuti2, we headed to this uncommon area to shop. It is located at Sungei Road and known as Thieves Market. Actually we also have this kind of market at our place, kalau tak silap kat area Petaling Street dekat dengan bus stand Klang.

This place has been here for such a long time and considered as the oldest flea market in Singapore. Ala kira2 kalau ada barang hilang kat Singapore tu, cuba cari kat sini, tapi itu dulu, nowadays they have to declare their items beforehand, just to make sure we're not buying stolen goods(God knows whether it's true!) Tapi Faizal and I really enjoyed ourselves there, from clothes to household to electrical goods, boleh katakan anything you can think of...ada kat sini. I guess we are tired of shopping malls (ye ke?..), just to get another look of Singapore.

Kalau ikutkan vendors memang pecah rumah punya, tapi diaorang ni cool but you have to follow their style when you're bargaining. Bak kata orang Berani Mati punya style. Sempat jugak lah dapat barang2 yang menarik. If you wanna come here, take MRT to Bugis Station, walk on Rochor Road until you hit Jalan Besar, turn right you will see the unchoreographed market that awaits you. The best time to visit is actually at 3pm onwards unless you can stand under the hot sun! Open daily till 7pm.

Ishk..ishk..
Our next destination, Universal Studios but unfortunately tickets dah habis. We went there just for Hard Rock Hotel & Cafe (wohooo! I have completed all Singapore's HRCs) and at the same time trying our luck to get through. Tapi takpe, we have plan to go again with a bunch of our friends! For those who're going to Universal Studios soon, do book online. There's one thing yang kat sini lain, cuaca panas tak ingat tak boleh imagine kalau naik ride tengahari buta. Kena lulur sun block satu badan la...agaknye.

As usual, Singapore Great Sale is not what I expected, taklah murah sangat tapi bolehlah...Mustafa Centre satu lagi tempat kitaorang shopping, tapi yang berkenan di hati Faizal DVDs Hindustan dia...hmmmmm...Ada satu lagi tempat yang quite interesting Tampines area just outside the MRT Station, kat situ ada mall yang kalau nak shopping ok jugak la...

For 3days/2nights holiday, we ended with our Top 5's list:

1. Joo Chiat Road - for accomodation
2. Hjh Maimunah Restaurant & Pasar Geylang Serai - for breakfast/lunch/dinner
3. Sg. Road - unusual shopping spree
4. Mustafa Centre - for insomnia, because it's 24hrs shopping mall
5. Universal Studios - Singapore's latest attraction

sungei road pergi sabtu ke ahad, kalo boleh ahad, pasal more things.

mustafa pegi waktu lewat malam lepas dah puas jalan2 kat tempat lain, malam tak ramai orang so boleh buat mustafa macam rumah sendiri

actually lain kali, nak romantik2, boleh pergi changi beach, jalan2 kat boardwalk tepi pantai, makan2 kat pusat penjaja changi, tengok kapalterbang landing... one way to go there, korang naik mrt sampai tanah merah, tukar bas no 2.

kalo kat geylang serai, korang should try all the pusat penjaja nye malay dishes, jalan sikit dah sampai Haig Road nye pusat penjaja ( now renovation ).

Cam wife aku kalo kat singapore, dia takkan makan indian muslim food at all, pasal kat spore, malay food dia best2 pasal a lot of indon influences also

anyway, hajah maimunah memang nice, kalo ko nak lain kali makan kat original place kat jalan pisang kat arab street near to mesjid sultan...
sultan johor yang meninggal tu hari pun pegi sana makan siput sedut
